This Summer I was approached by Ocean Farmers again, after creating their branding 2 years ago, they were now ready to take it to the next step and get a website created for them.

Design Focus had an opportunity to give this great project a voice and showcase the great work they are doing in Tuléar in Madagascar.  Ocean Farmers helps local villagers by teaching them a new skill (seaweed harvesting amongst others) to bring them new income whilst minimising the footprint of aquaculture and protecting ecosystems.

This was not a website used for sales but more of a showcase piece to illustrate what they do and the opportunities it brings to the locals.  A chance to celebrate what they do in a light way whilst sticking to their new brand values.

Due to the company being international, this website also needed translation into multiple languages and good social media syncing, along with other bespoke requirements.
